I start wasting my time again

I start wasting my time again

In everyone’s life, we may find out that there are some kind of wastes wherever you go it can be food or money maybe feeling and emotions or “TIME” knowing that some times put us under some stress but we don’t know how not to do that, wasting is happening based on our life routines and habits,

For me when it comes to food I eat everything on my plate and I throw only expired food and don’t cook every day, about MONEY I don’t spend much I put everything I need on different lists and prioritize them according to my need at that time, I’m good at making lists, now FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS, I don’t like to be attached to people unless they are attached to me and have the same kind of feelings if they care I care if they don’t I don’t ( there always some people you would care for no matter what they do to you or where they go), it really doesn’t bother me to spend  most my time by myself, I like being alone for some time, but don’t get wrong I would be glad to have a good friend by my side it makes things easy, for me and for you also we all need people but to share our best and happy moments happiness grows when it shared,

Now it’s time to talk about TIME witch I suck at, time is my biggest problem, I still can’t wake up early it’s hard I don’t know why it is this hard for me to do that and what makes it worse is we are going through Ramadan the system here is weird most people spend morning sleeping and Stay up late at night, what makes me spend more time at night is that peace and calm, only a few people awake no noise and bla bla, but in the morning there is the exact opposite there is a lot to do, a lot of noise, a lot of  people,

Today I’m focus on how to stop wasting my time again,

1.      Guilt

So, to stop wasting your time stop guilting yourself about you lost time and move on, it’s not going to come back, focus on your next minutes and how to spend them, guilt will only make thing worse than it’s already is

2.     the value of time

I read long time ago this quote it’s in Arabic

ุงู„ุญุณู† ุงู„ุจุตุฑูŠ--

"Son of Adam, you are only days. If your day is gone, some of you will go."

- Hassan Al-Basri-

Basically means wasting time is wasting you, imagine whenever your time is famished, parts of you famish.

I think this is the best description of the value of the time I have ever red in my life it’s kind of tough  but it’s real, knowing time’s value makes you ready to treat it well and treat your life better too cause you will not protect something from fading and getting lost if it’s not valuable to you,

Now go decide how you want to live by deciding how you want to spend your next hours and make thing clear as much as you can,

3.     priorities

I love making lists, and by making a list of what comes first and what comes last you will be able to make good use of  your valuable time, you start with planning mornings if your morning is good you day will follow, then days and weeks after a while you will notice that you can wake up early  to do what you have on your routine, it’s so logical to not get up from your bed if you have nothing to do or nothing in your mind to do “I would say I will figure it out when I’m awake “

4.     how you do things.

The way you do things matter and also I’s not necessarily the best way to accomplish a job, here some different cases you may face.

·         Let’s say I have to write a short story I know how to do it and I can do it alone.

·         Same with the story but I don’t know to write one but I can learn how to do it and spend so much time searching for that and you know it might not be a good one.

·         You don’t know how to do it and ask for help and learn from someone who knows the how.

·         You know how to do it and ask for a hand to do it better.

Each one of these cases have a different impact on your time and your work sometimes you need to lean on others to gain time an prove you work and sometimes it’s better you do things on your own, it depends on the importance of the work you are doing and how much time you have in your hands to do it.

This table here will make it easier for you to choose.

5.      Concentration

Multi-tasking isn’t a great idea for a start, its good when you can do it but it has its share of getting distracted when you move from thing to another,

So doing one task (or one part of the task at a time depends on how complex what you are doing) is might be the best option,

Try to accomplish your job all at once cause the brain build a momentary chain of ideas that  you can’t bring it back again any time you want, POMODORO technic can help you divide your work on short periods of time and short time rest, it helps concentrate  and accomplish many things without exhausting yourself,

I will put a conference for Pomodoro technic next named “ Study Less Study Smart ”  by Marty Lobdell who taught Psychology at Pierce College in Washington State for 40 years.

6.     Don’t avoid events and social occasions

As I said before it’s good to have someone on tour side and her your chance to meet new people and with different mindsets and personalities, it ‘also an opportunity for making professional connections, but keep in mind that this occasion also has its share of distractions and this leads us to the last step N° 7,

7.     Saying no

Or let’s call it the art of saying no, because saying no has different ways you can use asshole no as much as you can use a kind no with a reason and politeness it’ up to you,

Example:

I am going to the gym and my friend call me for help he needs to do some research on bacteria for his poster, I can say no not now or just tell him that I am in the gym right now and maybe later  or just ask another friend to help him,

Something to keep it in mind if you are not saying no to distraction you are saying no to you work and better things that will make you improve, so better think twice to what you are saying NO to,

Conclusion

  1. time is an important thing, use it wisely so don't spend most of guilting about what passed and what you have lost.
  2. time is life the way you use it decides the life you will have.
  3. prioritize your goals and dreams and make a clear plan for them.
  4. do your important things by yourself and delegate the rest it's ok.
  5. concentrate on your work then rest later as much as you want, and don't get distracted.
  6. seize opportunities from events and social occasions.
  7. learn to say NO and how to say it.

HOW TO GET TO YOUR GOALS

For me to go there to your goals even if it an only the first step, you need to know what you want to do in your life you must know who you are what you can and what you can’t do to be there you need to study yourself first. Ask your self some questions in front of the mirror, Who are you? not to know your name but what this guy stands for and what does he   want from life what is it that he desires the most what is his passion. Are you sure you wanna do that?? Are you capable of doing that?? so what stopping you?  go do your thing dude. You can’t do that?   why? what are you missing?? Can’t you evolve to the person who can do that?? Of course you can, you just need to move and change something in yourself read a books watch videos on youtube ask google, to make that change ask a friend, somebody, anybody can help you out telling you something agree with you on something supports you a lot of stuff can happen when to go out your comfort zone....

WHY AM I STRUGGLING WITH MY DAILY ROUTINE

I always had day in my life when I am my best I wake up early ready to go to work have my gym schedule clean the dishes, cook my food and my agenda is on time, and there is also me the one who’s never on time wake up at 11am I missed my lessons and late for work, sometimes I stop cooking and I eat whatever I find in the fridge, the room is a mess I’m a mess everything around me is a mess. And I think that I’m not the only one suffering from this, actually a lot of people have this kind of problems if not most of them, these might be a relief when you see that you are not the only one who has this kind of mess in your life, but the question is   does it help? Of course not, and I am talking from my experience when I was a kid    my high school university, writing my Master's degree thesis, last period of searching for a job. Bad choices in the past As I see how things went in the past I know now that I had other choices to make, for example, the summer when ...
